Subject: Details of South Carolina in the Revolution
Well, this book has been downloaded over a thousand times. It's a detailed history with clear writing.
I was reading about the Battle of Eutaw Springs, (p 441) My great, great great grandfather took part in it. As a family historian, I've read about it in other places and the account in this book is accurate as far as I can see. These volumes also offer strong sources for back up plus there is a detailed index.
Interesting excerpts are added to the writing. For Eutaw Springs it quotes an interesting quote from Gen. Greene, who was in charge of this battle.
I have benefited a lot from books like this at www.archive.org. Recently I finally joined the website and I'm contributing a small, monthly donation. It took only 4 minutes to sign up. It goes through amazon.com's services. I haven't received any spam from them or anything like that like I have from other places. It feels good to get behind a cause that is helping me, where I can make a difference. They need our contributions more than ever. What will we do without them? Mar
